Fit For All Week 2020
National Fit for all Week takes place during October12th to the October 18th 2020
Fit For All is a national initiative by CARA aimed at increasing awareness among people with disabilities, families/carers and disability services on the benefits of regular exercise, healthy lifestyles and opportunities to participate within the local community .
This years event will be slightly different due to the Covid Restrictions . Longford Sport Inclusion Disability Officer Orla Dempsey explains what will be happening in this year.

We are delighted to announce a Inclusive Prize for Fit for All Week . This is a 3 months Inclusion pass for the Longford Coral Leisure Centre. Terms and conditions apply. The draw will take place in early November . This is an Inclusive prize for a person who has a disability and who can access the Longford Coral Leisure Centre and please note this prize cannot be exchange .

Activities for all :
Sport Ireland and the Network of Local Sports Partnerships have released a 4 week physical activity plan for people with a disability
The Activities for All Home Exercise Plan is fully adaptive for people of all abilities and ages. The activity tracker will help you track your progress throughout the 4 weeks and show you how achievable it is to reach your daily activity goals

Resource Booklet for Children with Disabilities
This Booklet was designed in partnership with Longford ,Roscommon and Westmeath Sports Partnership .This is designed with the child in mind and is super easy, colourful and fun. It come with adaptations for various disabilities and contains a record card to mark down your Fit from 6 Activities - this can be sent back to your Local Sports Partnership to receive a certificate & medal!
