Longford Sports Partnership are proud to play their part in the physical activity pillar of the Healthy Ireland Keep Well Campaign
Launched in October 2020 , Keep Well aims to show us how we can mind our physical & mental health and wellbeing
Keep Well will provide guidelines, information, and tips on how we can make a plan to do things that will help us keep well .

Lunch Time Home Fitness Workout With Brendan
It's time for a spring fitness jump start. Join us for our exercise from home sessions with Brendan. Follow Brendan as he guides you through some simple strength and conditioning exercises that you can do yourself from home.
Starting March 23rd.

5km Your Way
Our 6 weeks beginners 5K YOUR WAY program is starting from Wednesday February 3rd building up to Longford Athletics Club St. Patrick's Day Virtual Ireland Run.
Join us on our journey, we'll provide a weekly training plan by email. You'll get advice and tips. You can join a weekly online exercise session if you want and join our STRAVA Club. You can do it your way Walk, Jog or Run and we are here to help Eventbrite Link

SPORTS NUTRITION AND HEALTHY HABITS
As part of the Keep Well Campaign Longford Sports Partnership have asked nutritionist Clare Farrell to delivering a 4 weeks programmme on Nutrition and Health Habits. This will take place on Tuesdays evening for one hour a week for 4 weeks.
When participants register via Eventbrite and will be given a zoom link to access the programme.
Week 1- 23rd February – 7.30pm-8.30pm An Introduction to Nutrition & Healthy Habits”
Week2- 2nd March –Fueling Your Body Before Exercise (to include preparation of a pre-exercise fueling snack)
Week 3 - 9th of March -Recover the Right Way After Exercise Part 1 (covering refueling & repairing and preparation of a recovery snack)
Week 4- 16th March - Recover the Right Way After Exercise Part 2 (covering rehydration & rest/sleep and preparation of a homemade sports drink)
