NDIS Week takes place from Monday, December 1st to Sunday, December 7th, shining a spotlight on people with disabilities in sport and highlighting initiatives that support participation, leadership, and meaningful involvement at every level.
As part of this celebration, we’re delighted to showcase progress within the Longford Sports Partnership – Ability Coaching Programme 2025.
A huge thank you to Longford County Council Communications Officer Aaron for capturing our recent Orienteering Ready To Go session at Albert Reynolds Peace Park and Longford Scouts. Your support and coverage are greatly appreciated!
Massive thanks to Sara & Roisin, our incredible Orienteering Development Officers, for sharing their guidance, expertise, and enthusiasm throughout the day.
We also extend our thanks to Donal, Longford Sports Partnership Programmes Manager, for introducing the programme and supporting its continued growth.
A special shoutout to Geraldine from Longford Autism Club, Peter from Longford Scouts, and Stephen from St. Christopher’s, who not only completed the Orienteering Course but also took time to speak with Aaron. Your participation and insights made the day even more meaningful.
Despite the damp weather, spirits were high and the day was a huge success for everyone involved! 🌧️➡️😄
We’re already looking forward to our next Ability Coaching Programme session—Tag Rugby Coaching in collaboration with Leinster Rugby and Longford Rugby Club this February. 🏉
